From the very beginning he was there to make sure everyone had a great time including where we’d have lunch with the best views and temperatures. He was very nice and offered to stop off the beaten path (but there’s so much to see, just stay put and trust his judgment). Jim has been running these woods since he was a small child and definitely knows what to pay attention to. He was also super helpful in giving us suggestions for the next few days of our trip - truly all his recommendations panned out, and we’re very thankful for his sightseeing advice advice post-tour. He clearly cares and wants everyone to have a good experience. The redwoods were amazing and he was good about showing us cool spots and giving us time to walk around. I’m sure to some extent that it’s guide-dependent but it was really a great time for us. All in all, I highly recommend the tour and suggest following whatever your guide has in mind - they know best.
